Weekend and Lab

Hey Everyone! Just got into the office this awesome Monday morning. So on Friday last week, we had an early morning at 3am and went across the country to go purchase prawns for the study, specifically M. vollenhovenii. We got back to the lab around 11 am to find out about 75 percent of the prawns had died along transit; this seemed to be an issue, but luckily we have enough at this point to do the initial stage of the study. Saturday we went into the lab to clean the prawn aquariums and also sort the live ones by size. As we were doing this, one of the bigger prawns ripped a claw off another big prawn, which is funny but at the same time disappointing because we need as many large prawns as possible for the study. Sunday I was able to relax a bit, enjoy a cup of joe, and watch some Joe Swanson as well. The main stages of the study will begin today as I just arrived on campus but have yet to visit the snail lab for all that we know, the prawns could have killed each other this weekend. Stay rowdy my friends, I would say Roll Tide but I probably shouldn't.
