Today was my last day in Ghana. I'm currently in the airport in Accra enjoying one of my last Ghanian beers. Due to a lack of posting over the last few days, I'll update y'all on some things that have been going on. Saturday night I was able to hangout with Connor and Andy, from the lab. We had a fun evening and had some good laughs. Sunday, William convinced me to go to church with him so I did that, and then I had a nice day hanging out at his house, enjoying the company of his family. Monday we went to the field for the last time and I was able to say goodbye to some of the teachers and the kids. We also checked for snails but due to the enormous amount of rain received the night before, we only found about 5 snails in total. Tuesday I had my presentation in front of the entire department which went well! There are a few things I need to improve before my next presentation but it is a good start! That marks the end of work here in Ghana.
I would like to end on a positive note. I would like to say how grateful I am to everyone here in this glorious country. The hospitality I received was overwhelming! I will miss everyone here but hey, I'll be back soon;)
