So yesterday as I was leaving the office, Dr. Anyan asked if I completed my literature review yet. As you may have guessed, based off my previous posts stating the hours in the last two weeks I've worked, I have not touched the paper in over two weeks. Basically this next week is going to be fun now. I need to put together a decent presentation, finish a pretty big paper, while also completely busy this weekend with some stuff that I got roped into somehow... I really need to stay away from religious topics while I'm here. That my friends is much easier said than done. Some interesting cultural topics have come up while I've been here when people have asked me about religion, since it is such an important part of many peoples lives here. Some people have explained to me that they could never be friends with others who do not share the same beliefs as them. I think this has interesting roots especially since much of the country either practices either Christianity or Islam. It would be interesting to learn how the lack of acceptance for other religions started in Ghana. Anyways, I should get back to work. Also none of my babies died in the last few days (knock on wood) which makes the rest of this project look promising.
